Literacy Aotearoa Wellington Inc
Literacy Aotearoa Wellington (LAW) is a specialist provider of Adult Literacy and Numeracy education. We have been working with adult Wellingtonians for over 25 years. Our programmes help people improve their literacy – including reading, writing, spelling, everyday numeracy and computer skills.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and provide tuition at no direct cost to the learner.
LAW offers a number of different programmes to suit each individual’s learning needs. We have seen students gain increased confidence and a feeling of acceptance here, which allow them to make changes they haven’t always felt possible, in employment, education or new life pathways.
On completion of their course or programme with us, many students have become more involved in their communities, taken better care of their health and finances or become more engaged with their children’s education.
